The Alliance of Divine Love, Inc. welcomes your interest in its goals and spiritual directions. Most studies are done in small groups or classes, however persons living out of the area may complete their studies via mail or the internet. All persons who wish to pursue ministerial study with the ADL must complete all of the following steps:
1. Letter of Intent - Write all members of the ADL Spiritual Examining Committee (S.E.C.), listed below, informing them of your interest of why you want to study for the ministry and become an ordained minister. Create a separate letter of same to each member. Make sure you send one copy to your teacher/trainer Rev. Donna Conley so that she knows you have sent the letters.
2. In this initial correspondence with your teacher/trainer Rev. Donna Conley, make sure the following is included: Your name and address and telephone number are within your letter. You must also include a cutout COPY of your name and address that is on a computer generated piece of mail with your zip +4. (You will find it on your utility bills, magazines, and even your junk mail within the label. Make sure it is part of the address section and not at the bottom of the envelope). This address code may be sent with your first sessions starting fee to your trainer Rev. Donna Conley. Make all checks payable to your teacher who will provide books and distribute payment of fees accordingly.
3. Specify in this letter of intent the ministerial class you will be taking and/or the name of the teacher assigned.
Show your teacher/trainer as:

When the requirements of the first four steps listed below have been met, you may proceed to complete ADL studies either individually, in a class, by correspondence, or by the Internet with an ADL Teacher/Trainer. All fees must be paid in full, as below, before ordination.
Upon successful completion of your training, you will receive your ordination papers that include a Certificate of Ordination and a Certificate of Charter as part of your ordination ceremony. Your Internship will begin at this time and explained in detail by your teacher.
CURRENT ADL FEES AND DUES: See the ADL Student Price List for a break-down on all course fees (Section 2 of Student Steps) and dues. First years dues are due before ordination and included in the total cost of course. National Dues are currently $50.00 a year, and are due before Aug 31st. of each year. Check with your teacher for State Dues in your state if any. Florida State dues are $10 annually. Make sure your annual dues are paid on time or a $5.00 per month late fee will be charged to offset late fee notices. If lapse of membership occurs you have one year to reinstate for a $100 fee. After the year you must re-apply and retake the course. Dues must be sent to the Dues Chairperson listed in your current DaySpring newsletter only. They cannot and will not be forwarded for you.
STUDENT STEPS FOR ORDINATION
1. Compose a Letter outlining your reasons for entering the ministry. Send the letter to the Spiritual Examining Committee, as given on the above Student Guide Sheet. To assure that you will be accepted for ministerial training, send the letter within two weeks of beginning study. Check with your teacher, as he or she will have your information of acceptance.
2. The ministerial ordination course is divided into three main sessions, Ever Closer, Even Closer, Ministerial Lessons, and Legal Papers. Each session may be taught in one full day session or broken into several shorter mini sessions. The cost of each session is $190. The total cost is $570. This includes all books, materials, registration and ordination fees, certificates, and your first year dues until August 31st of the same year. The cost of each session must be paid for before the start of each session.
3. Complete studies, as directed by your teacher. During the study periods begin thinking of how you would like to aim your efforts during your one year internship which follows ordination. This is best kept simple, and may be activities that you are already doing such your current healing and counseling activities or those that you have planned for your ministry. The choice is yours. You will need to report them to your teacher each mouth of your internship.
4. After all your lessons and other requirements are completed you will be eligible for ordination. You may choose to receive your papers during your ordination ceremony with others. If distance or other circumstances do not permit your attendance, your certificates of ordination and chapel may be sent to you. Upon receipt, and FULL COMPLETION OF STEP 7 below, you will legally become a minister.
5. Before ordination or during your 3rd session your teacher will give you a packet of very important Legal Papers. It is your responsibility to keep these papers in a safe, accessible place during your entire ministerial life. They are the papers that make your ordained ministry legal. To replace any legal papers, you will be charged a service fee of $10.00 per document or $20.00 plus postage to replace the entire packet
6. The IRS Code of Ethics Signature Sheet (included in your packet of legal papers) must be completed and sent to ADL administration before ordination. This form MUST then be completed and given to your teacher by the 3rd session. Your ordination cannot be legally completed until this form has been received by ADL. Your legal packet will include your copies of these documents. Your teacher will issue them as well as your chapel number, certificate of chapel, and a certificate of ordination at the time of your ordination.
7. Complete the IRS form (SS-4) which must be done immediately upon ordination. This form contains your federal ID number that you must obtained (can be by phone) prior to ordination. The form also contains ADL information provided by your teacher. This completed form must be sent or faxed into the appropriate, IRS office, as designated on the form. Offices will differ, depending on the area of the country that you live. If you obtained your Federal ID number by phone prior to your ordination, it must be given to your teacher so that it can be sent to the ADL central office and current dues Chairperson. Your teacher will help you with this important procedure.
8. Please learn to use page 2 of your DaySpring monthly Newsletter and your Directory for all telephone, address, and e-mail needs. Save your DaySpring page and keep it in your telephone book
9. Should you move or change your address, you MUST let the Dues Chairperson know BEFORE you move or change addresses. The current dues Chairperson is shown on page 2 of your DaySpring newsletter. Your mail will not be forwarded but returned. It will be on temporary hold to avoid it being returned again. Do this to avoid being charged $5.00 for each returned DaySpring (Monthly newsletter) to cover costs of this postal service.
10. It is your responsibility to pay your ADL dues every year before August 31st. Page 2 of your DaySpring will show the amount and current dues chairperson. Include with your dues payment a self-addressed stamped envelope for your current membership/ID to be sent to you. Dues notices are just a reminder and it is not the responsibility of the ADL if you do not receive one. It is important that all ministers are legal. Any dues postmarked after August 31st. will cost you a $100 reinstatement fee plus your dues until the next August 31st. After one year of delinquency, you will be required to pay for and retake the entire ADL course again. Mark your calendar each year so you do not forget. All dues must be sent to the dues Chairperson only. They will not be forwarded for you.
11. GOOD LUCK! We of the ADL will try to help you in any way that we can. The process may appear complicated, but we must adhere to each step because of legal and organizational requirements. It is not as complicated as it sounds
