Chapel at Spirit of Deer

Snuggled on the north side of the St. Johns River east of Sanford is the Spirit of Deer Retreat. It is a 12 acre wooded natural site umbrelled with ancient oaks, cypress, and palms providing a canopy of serenity that is a replica of old Florida. This spiritual site was an Indian campground of days gone by. It abounds with wildlife including, deer, wild turkey, hawks, eagles etc. It is the home of the Arts of Healing Chapel and the Spirit of Deer Retreat.

Parquet Dance Floor

This spiritual location is used for teaching classes, weddings, and gatherings of the Healing Arts practitioners. Networking the modalities is the primary purpose of such gatherings. An open house is provided on occasion, usually on the last Sunday each month, for practitioners to practice their art and share their experiences. Directions to Spirit of Deer in Osteen:

If coming from Daytona -- south on Rt.415 (old New Smyrna road) through Samsula to Osteen. Watch for fire truck sign on right (after Skip’s Boot Shop). Directly across from sign is Old N. Smyrna Rd. Left down little hill to Florida St..Left on Fla. ST. ( becomes Maytown Rd). Four miles to River Oaks Dr.. Right on River Oaks. Follow “Spirit of Deer” signs to 1223 Tall Pine Dr..

If coming from the Greenway (SR417) exit at SR415 (Lake Mary Blvd). Turn right (east) at Lake Mary Blvd..and follow the new Lake Mary extension turns into SR415 to Osteen, then follow instructions below from POST OFFICE sign.

If coming from Sanford on SR 46 turn left (north) on SR415, watch for POST OFFICE sign in Osteen. Turn right on Railroad Ave. to end. Left on Oak to Maytown Rd.. Right on Maytown to River Oaks Dr. (approx. 4 miles). Right on River Oaks. Follow “Spirit of Deer” signs to 1223 Tall Pine Dr..

If coming from I-4, take Deltona/DeBary exit. Go east through Enterprise on DeBary Rd. ( becomes Doyle Rd. east of Enterprise). Take Doyle Rd. to end (SR 415). Right on 415 two short blocks to N. Smyrna Rd., left on N. Smyrna Rd. one short block to Florida Rd.. Left on Fla.Rd. ( becomes Maytown Rd.). 4 miles on Maytown Rd. to River Oaks. Right on River Oaks Follow “Spirit of Deer” signs to 1223 Tall Pines Dr.
